You have read the two (2) accounts of the events that happened during the 1897 Tijeras Assembly. Answer any of the following questions:
• What was most striking for you about the way the event is being depicted by the two different types of historical sources? Is the perspective of an eyewitness namely, Santiago V. Alvarez or General Apo, different from that of a historian namely, Teodoro Mamoncillo? If yes, how do they differ?
• Give your own insights about the events that happened during the 1897 Tijeras Assembly. What do you think about the rivalries and factions existing among the Philippine revolutionary leaders at that time?
